Our new store has now opened!

We have created a beautiful new space – warm, open and inviting. After a month of solid renovating we are so happy to finally be open and operating again – especially after our COVID closure. We have welcomed back all our regulars, who all agree that this is just one special building and one special interior space.

We would love to have a lavish launch party, but alas in these continuing COVID times we cannot.

Included in the space is very large 12m long mural by French impressionist Jean Baptiste Corot (painted around the same time the Walch’s building was actually built!) – it is the stunning centrepiece to our renovation.

The other notable edition is a huge metal clothes rack created by local artist/blacksmith Wellington Steelworks – it is a stunning nod to the Colonial history of the building – yet a beautiful sculptural piece in the store offsetting our modern design pieces.

We look forward to seeing you in our brand new space soon! (more photos to come over the coming weeks)
